Description: The unit has 18 beds and 8 staff members. Staff includes radiologists, radiology techs, ultrasound techs, MRI techs, and CT techs. Throughout the day, the unit operates with a day shift director, radiologists, and 6-7 techs. During the night, there is a charge RN, an on-call team, and 3-4 techs, with variations depending on volume. Patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2, depending on patient stability. All equipment is GE, including MRI units, scanners, cameras, x-ray, and fluoroscopy. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, medical and anatomical knowledge, and mechanical aptitude. The ability to multi-task and work with a variety of physicians, radiologists, and patients is essential. Dress code requirements allow for scrub color of choice. The department has received recognition as a top performer on key quality measures by the Joint Commission. This award is achieved by only a small percentage of hospitals nationwide. The department also holds a performance achievement award. This position is a contractor replacement role.
