Project Manager

Job Location: FRESNO, CA 93711 Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 Primary Function The Project Manager leads and manages industrial hygiene projects—including asbestos, lead, mold, and related environmental health work—from initial client contact through final report delivery. This role owns project budgets, staffing, and client relationships, while supervising project coordinators, project managers, and technicians. The Project Manager also performs on-site surveys, inspections, assessments, and abatement oversight, and ensures projects meet applicable safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Budgetary / Financial Meet or exceed individual billable hours and billable revenue targets Maintain WIP aging in an acceptable range ( Review WIP on projects weekly and request invoices frequently Assemble cost estimate for proposals, and enter into Project Planning in the ERP system Monitor project budgets throughout the course of the project to ensure costs are on track and proactively make adjustments as needed keeping the client updated Follow procedures for invoicing projects on a progress or a final close out Provide assistance to Accounting Dept. when tasked for collections or invoicing issues Project Tasks / Performance Update A.R.C. for open projects with current stages and associated due dates Maintain acceptable report turnaround time to ensure timely deliverables Review project scope and select tasks and deliverables Field calls from potential and existing clients Follow the procedure for opening new projects, communicate all required information Establish the schedule for the projects and assign appropriate/capable staff Perform and/or coordinate field investigations Oversee field personnel activity and quality and provide feedback to the team involved Select, rent or borrow the necessary equipment for projects Prepare and review reports for projects Enter time and expenses daily Save all project‑related documents into electronic project file Business Development Monitor open opportunities in ERP system and follow up with the client accordingly Maintain relationships with focus clients and update data accordingly in ERP system Attend association meetings and client meetings Arrange and attend presentation opportunities Refer and/or engage the business development team in local opportunities Assist in the preparation of marketing resources (project summaries) Technical Maintain technical certifications Attend required technical training (internal and external) Assist in the development of staff Maintain internal QA/QC compliance Qualifications Experience & Education Minimum 4-5 years of experience in industrial hygiene, environmental health and safety, or a related field, including hands‑on experience with common IEQ field instruments Demonstrated success managing large or complex projects in at least one FACS service line Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, health and safety, biological science, or physical science preferred Skills & Certifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient with standard business and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Office; ERP/project systems) Flexible schedule with willingness to travel to project locations as needed DOSH CAC and/or CDPH IA preferred; other relevant certifications (e.g., CIH, AHERA) a plus Physical & Work Requirements Physical ability to stoop, kneel, climb, crawl, walk, and stand for extended periods in varied work environments to perform sampling activities Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
