Edwards Unlimited is a full-service metal fabrication shop in Henderson, NC, under the same ownership since 2005. We run fiber laser cutting, tube laser, press brake forming, tube bending, plate rolling, welding, machining, media blasting, powder coating, and walk-in metal sales.

We hold real tolerances for production customers. Parts you form feed straight into weld fixtures and powder coating, so a bend a degree off or a leg short doesn't get caught downstream. It gets caught at the customer.

EQUIPMENT YOU WILL RUN

Pullmax Ursviken Optima 250 CNC press brake, 120-inch bed, with full setup, tooling, programming, and forming. Support equipment as needed: Wysong & Miles D-48 plate roll, Piranha ironworker, Baileigh bead roller, Apex deburring machine, forklift and overhead lifting.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Read prints and flat patterns, set up punches and dies, and select the right tooling for the radius, material, and thickness.

Build and edit bend programs, plan bend sequence, and adjust for bend deduction, springback, K-factor, and inside radius.

Check tonnage against material, thickness, and die opening before you send it. Protect the machine, the tooling, and yourself.

Form first-article parts and verify angles and dimensions with protractor, calipers, tape, and gauges. Get sign-off before running the lot.

Adjust for grain direction, cracking on tight radii, and die witness or part marking on cosmetic and powder-coated parts.

Handle long and heavy parts safely, including forming with a helper or support arms when the part calls for it.

Flag parts that cannot be formed as drawn, such as short flanges, impossible sequences, or tooling collisions, before material is committed.

Save and document proven setups so the next run of the same part repeats instead of getting re-solved.

Complete first-article and inspection records. Deburr, stage, and label parts so the next operation is not guessing.

Keep tooling organized and inventoried, and the machine and area clean.

Follow lockout, pinch-point, and lifting rules without being told twice.

WHAT YOU NEED

High school diploma or equivalent.

Read and work from fabrication prints: views, dimensions, tolerances, bend callouts, and material specs.

Confident with a tape measure, calipers, square, and angle finder, including fractions and decimals.

Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for a full shift, and handle sheet and plate safely.

Dependable attendance and the discipline to check your own work.

Valid driver's license.

PREFERRED

Two or more years on a CNC press brake in a job shop or production environment.

Hands-on setup experience: tooling selection, bend sequencing, and editing programs at the machine.

Flat pattern development, bend deduction, and springback correction.

Experience forming stainless and aluminum, not just mild steel.

Forklift and overhead crane experience.

Experience in an ISO 9001 or documented-quality environment.

Welding, laser, or finishing background. We cross-train.

Newer operators: if you have run a brake and know how to check your own work, apply. We will train our setups and our standards. What we cannot train is showing up and caring whether the part is right.
