Location: Starkville, MS Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Are you an experienced operator looking for a challenging role where your technical skills truly matter? We are seeking a Rigid Frame Strander Operator to join our production team in Starkville. You will be responsible for operating high-capacity stranding machinery (30-wire or 61-wire) to produce high-quality stranded cable. This is a critical role for someone who takes pride in machine operation, precision setups, and maintaining a high-performance workspace.
What You’ll Do
Master Machine Operations: Safely operate and oversee 30-wire or 61-wire rigid frame stranders, ensuring efficient production runs.
Technical Setup: Interpret Bills of Materials (BOM) and production orders to configure gear settings and line speeds.
Precision Handling: Load machines with up to 61 bobbins and carefully select/install the correct dies to meet product specifications.
Workflow Management: Proactively plan your shift to meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining accurate records.
Quality Assurance: Monitor machine performance throughout the shift, making necessary adjustments to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with reels or cable production is a significant plus.
Technical Aptitude: Comfortable using hand tools and precise measurement instruments; strong problem-solving skills.
Reliability: Ability to follow detailed production orders and work effectively within a team to keep operations moving.
Physical Capability: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching, and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; must be at least 18 years of age.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Pay: Starting at $20.64/hr .
Night Shift Premium: Earn an additional $1.00/hr for your night shift work.
Work Environment: This is an active production environment that is non-climate-controlled, involving exposure to industrial conditions (dust, fumes, noise). We provide a safe, structured setting where hard work is recognized and rewarded.
