Imagine a career that not only gives you a professional platform but also a profound sense of purpose. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the vibrant and rapidly growing city of Frisco, Texas, your contributions will extend beyond treating communication and swallowing disorders. You will unlock the potential in individuals, help restore their self-confidence, and foster connections that span generations from toddlers discovering their voices to older adults striving for independence.
This position presents a distinctive opportunity to work with a diverse clientele across various life stages in a setting that harmoniously blends outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient assistance. Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations by employing standardized assessments and observational strategies.
Design tailored treatment plans that address immediate objectives and long-term needs regarding communication, cognition, or swallowing.
Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that emphasize communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, ensuring a unified approach to patient care.
Provide education to patients and their families, empowering them to support progress beyond therapy sessions.
Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining continuity throughout the treatment experience.
Ensure meticulous and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organization-specific guidelines.
Stay abreast of latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups, demonstrating a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Capability to adapt therapy methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation practices.
Attractive salary package based on experience.
Flexible work schedules to enable better work-life balance and varied caseloads.
Specialization opportunities in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday pay.
Access to medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
Supportive reimbursement for continuing education and professional development.
A collaborative work culture that prioritizes quality care and lifelong learning.
In this role, you will be more than a speech therapist; you will become an integral part of a compassionate mission to amplify voices, enhance communication, and sprinkle joy through the everyday actions of understanding one another.
You'll work alongside colleagues who genuinely treat each other with respect and kindness, in an environment that promotes teamwork over competition. Each patient comes with a unique story; we trust in your ability to steer how those stories are narrated.
