Fluidra’s looking for a Manager, Commercial Analytics to join our team in Carlsbad, CA.

 

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE  

The Manager, Commercial Analytics leads a team of commercial analysts and owns the insight output layer for the NAM revenue organization. That means sales performance reporting, dealer and rep performance, initiative and program performance, and the dashboards and recurring reporting the business runs on. The role demands genuine curiosity in data and a deep understanding of what the data means. The expectation is intimacy with the data at the level of a subject-matter expert: the SME in commercial analytics for Fluidra NAM. Additionally, you will:

• Executive insight delivery. Produce weekly and monthly performance narratives for VP and executive audiences that state what happened and why it happened. Every number is validated against known business scale before it ships.
• Team leadership. Manage and develop a team of commercial analysts: set priorities, coach analytical and communication skills, and own the quality bar for everything the team publishes. This is a player-coach role: the manager personally builds dashboards, models, and analysis alongside the team, not only through it.
• Reporting and dashboard portfolio. Own dashboard development and recurring reporting across sales performance, dealer and rep performance, and initiative and program performance. Continuously improve the depth and usability of data insights. Deliver across Power BI and Excel, driven by what stakeholders can actually use.
• Data intimacy and SME standard. Bring curiosity in data and build a working understanding of what every field and measure means: definition, source, and correct usage. Gain a level of intimacy in the data that makes you and your team the commercial analytics SME for Fluidra NAM. Steward metric definitions (active account, sell-through, channel, loyalty tier) so every report tells the same story.
• Demand and cadence management. Maintain the intake process for incoming data and reporting requests through a workflow tool such as Jira or Smartsheet, with clear prioritization and status visibility for stakeholders. Maintain the recurring reporting calendar so every deliverable ships on time, every cycle.
• Output quality control. Apply the validation standard: if a number would surprise the executive reading it, determine whether it is an insight or an error before sending. Reconcile totals against known scale, confirm matched comparison periods, and answer every part of every question asked.
• Data expansion partnership . Work with the global data infrastructure teams to source new datasets for the purpose of expanding reporting capabilities. Define the business case and requirements, then work with the global team so they can build the pipeline. Work with them on break/fix SLAs to ensure data continuity in the team's analytics outputs. Absorb ad hoc and analytics workload currently carried by Sales Ops.

 

WHAT WE SEEK

• 5+ years in commercial analytics, sales analytics, revenue operations, or FP&A, with specific examples of analysis that changed a business decision and the outcome that followed.
• Demonstrated leadership of analysts through direct management, mentoring, or leading and reviewing the analytical work of others. Formal people-management experience is a plus, not a prerequisite.
• Demonstrated curiosity in data and business: a track record of learning a company's products, channels, customers, and programs deeply enough to become the go-to expert, not just learning its schemas.
• Experience running a request intake and prioritization process (Jira, Smartsheet, or similar) and holding a recurring reporting calendar on schedule.
• Expert-level Power BI (DAX, semantic model fluency, report design) and expert-level Excel. This is a hands-on building role; these are daily working tools, not oversight subjects.
• Working SQL for analysis and validation (Snowflake or comparable cloud warehouse).
• Proven validation discipline: reconciles output against known business scale, catches definitional and period-matching errors before publishing, and can cite examples.
• Executive communication and data storytelling, scaled to field, manager, and executive audiences.

 

Preferred

• B2B channel, distribution, or aftermarket experience; pool industry or durable goods a plus.
• Loyalty or incentive program analytics (tiered dealer programs, rebates, sell-through measurement).
• Experience consuming globally owned data platforms in a matrixed organization.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Expected salary range is $130,000 - $150,000. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
