The Assistant Store Manager will play a crucial role in managing the daily operations of a small local store. Overseeing a team of 10-20 staff members, this role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining optimal inventory control, and driving sales performance. The Assistant Store Manager will utilize a combination of retail management software and manual systems to support store operations, visual merchandising, and effective communication within the team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of 10-20 staff members to ensure smooth store operations
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve conflicts efficiently
- Manage inventory control through both digital and manual systems
- Oversee daily sales management and reporting activities
- Handle cash management and secure store transactions
- Coordinate visual merchandising to enhance store appeal
- Maintain communication with management and team regarding store performance and operations
- Ensure compliance with store policies and operational procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in retail management
- Proven team leadership skills
- Strong background in customer service and inventory management
- Experience with sales planning and execution
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Effective communication skills
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures
