Experienced Physician Assistant for Interventional Pain Management in New York City

Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic Interventional Pain Management team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work within a collaborative and patient-centered environment, primarily at our surgical center located in Corona, New York. The role commands a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, in addition to comprehensive benefits.

Work Environment

The Physician Assistant will work onsite at our modern surgical center, which is equipped with the latest technology to facilitate advanced pain management procedures. You will work predominantly in three locations: two offices in Brooklyn, NY, and one office in Queens, NY. Each day will involve transitioning between these locations, ensuring a varied and engaging work experience. Each office has ample parking facilities, ensuring convenient access for both staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be instrumental in providing exceptional patient care by performing a variety of essential tasks, including:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and documenting medical histories accurately.
• Administering ultrasound-guided trigger point injections, joint injections, and nerve blocks under the supervision of a licensed physician.
• Monitoring patients’ progress and reassessing treatment plans in collaboration with the medical team to foster optimal recovery.
• Educating patients on pain management strategies and post-procedure care, ensuring they are well-informed to participate in their own recovery.
• Collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive treatment plan that addresses the multifaceted challenges of pain management.
• Managing a daily caseload of approximately 20 patients, ensuring that each individual receives thorough attention and care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse patient demographic, primarily focusing on individuals suffering from various types of chronic pain, including:

• Lower back pain
• Shoulder pain
• Knee pain
• Elbow pain
• Osteoarthritis

Your ability to empathize and understand the challenges faced by these patients is paramount in providing the high-quality care they deserve.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid New York State Physician Assistant License
• PA-C Certification
• DEA Registration Number
• NPI Number
• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies
• At least one year of hands-on experience in Interventional Pain Management or a related field

Preferred Experience

While a year of relevant experience is required, candidates with additional experience in advanced pain management techniques, such as regenerative medicine or outpatient surgical settings, will be regarded favorably. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and pain management software will also be advantageous.
