This is a hands-on, high-impact role upgrading residential electrical systems to support solar energy installations — safely, efficiently, and with pay that rewards your skill.Get paid for performance! Our MPU Electricians typically earn piece-rate pay per job, so your expertise directly increases your paycheck. Top performers consistently out-earn traditional hourly electricians.Key Responsibilities:Perform Main Panel Upgrades (MPUs) or other residential service changes on homes to support solar energy systemsInstall, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential settingsPerform electrical wiring, conduit layout, and grounding systems following building and electrical standards and codesRead and interpret technical drawings such as blue prints or line diagrams to determine electrical layoutsTroubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devicesCollaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements and are completed in a timely mannerMaintain a clean, organized, and safe job siteAccurately complete project documentation, including photos, labels, and communicate effectively with crew members, the crew lead and field leadership, and the customerRequired Skills/Abilities:5+ years of residential electrical experience, including service upgradesProven knowledge of NEC codes, especially related to solar, battery storage, and service panelsFamiliarity with logic controllers and their applicationsProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawingsSkilled in using hand tools, power tools, and speciality electrical equipmentValid state electrician license/journeyman preferred, but not requiredResidential solar experience strongly preferred with knowledge of PV equipment and safety equipmentAbility to work independently or as part of a teamAbility to follow and adhere to safety requirementsClean driving record and ability to drive company vehiclePhysical Requirements:Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spacesAbility to work in various weather conditions/extreme environments (hot attics, heat, wind, cold/icy weather, etc)Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing laddersMust be able to lift at least 50 pounds regularlySchedule:Monday to Friday (occasional weekends as needed)Flexible scheduling options available for high-performing team membersWhy Work at Zeo Energy?Be part of an innovative team dedicated to renewable energy and sustainabilityOpportunities for professional growth and advancement in a growing industryCompetitive pay, 401(k), benefits, and a supportive work environmentZeo Energy is an equal-opportunity employer.
