Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU/IMC position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, prior travel assignment completion, and Cerner proficiency.

Details

• Work setting includes both the ICU and IMC units of an acute care hospital
• Floating to Med/Surg and ED units is required as needed
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required, equating to 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) per six-week period
• 13-week contract
• Charting is performed in Cerner (required)

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• At least 1 prior completed travel assignment required
• Cerner experience required
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience within the past 3 years
• Driver's license required for local status determination

Additional Information

• Candidates who were previously employed by MedStar must have been separated for a minimum of one year before being considered
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract, and all RTO must be submitted upfront
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are accepted; a candidate's address must match their driver's license for local status determination
• Interviews with the manager are not guaranteed; candidates should be comfortable proceeding without one
• Facility- and unit-specific compliance modules must be completed within one week of contract signing
