Job Summary: AEDD is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Van Driver to transport adults with developmental disabilities to and from the Lacy Landers Skills Training Center. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, timely, and comfortable transportation while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport consumers to and from the facility on assigned routes
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transport
• Complete daily route documentation, including mileage and sign-in sheets
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper fueling before or after routes
• Follow all traffic laws, including full stops at railroad crossings
• Remain fully attentive while driving (no phone use or distractions)
• Follow all AEDD transportation policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with staff regarding schedules or concerns

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience driving a van (15-passenger preferred) is a plus
• Valid Arkansas Driver's License required
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to pass background check, TB test, and drug screening

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist passengers as needed
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
