Job Summary:
The Cambridge, Massachusetts, healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Ambulatory Unit. This position involves rotating shifts including pre-operative and Post Anesthesia Care duties. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role demands excellent clinical skills and flexibility to float between departments as needed.

Job Details:

• Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts
• Shift: Rotating shifts, including pre-operative hours from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Post Anesthesia Care Unit hours from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; on-call shifts from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; active or conditional Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license; 2+ years of experience in Pre-Operative and Post Anesthesia Care Units; EMR experience preferred with EPIC system; valid drivers license matching demographics; flu vaccination required during season; recent NURSYS license verification within the past 7 days. Candidates must include RTO requests at submission.
• Additional Information: Willingness to work every other major holiday. Must document travel experience; first-time travelers with strong experience may be considered. Ability to support PACU medications and drips (such as pressors) preferred. Responsibilities include patient recovery for various services including General, Gynecology, Urology, Plastics, Orthopedics, Vascular, Endoscopy, and Interventional Radiology.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
