Delivery Driver - Non-CDLAtlantic Tire Distributors, located in Richmond, VA is currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our team! May load and unload vehicles; as well as other duties assigned by the manager.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Schedule: 7am - complete (Monday-Friday)Essential Tasks and Responsibilities; include, but not limited to:Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.Report on any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.Properly document goods delivered or loaded.Load and unload trucksVerify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment: Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, or passenger vehicles.Getting Information: Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.Material Handling: Load, unload, secure, and move products safely using hands, arms, pallet jacks, and forklifts.Warehouse Operations Knowledge: Understand basic warehouse processes including receiving, picking, staging, and inventory handling.Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries and pickups.Performing General Physical Activities: Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates: Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and identify equipment issues to maintain safety and compliance.Time Management: Plan routes efficiently and manage delivery schedules to meet deadlines and meet customer expectations.Processing Information: Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.Static Strength: The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.Reaction Time: The ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears.Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.Problem Solving: Apply practical thinking to address delivery challenges, unexpected delays, or customer concerns.Attention to Safety: Adhere to safety protocols for vehicle operation, warehouse tasks, and material handling.Work Styles:Attention to Detail- Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.Dependability- Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.Cooperation- Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.Independence- Job requires guiding oneself with little or no supervision and depending on oneself to get things done.Integrity- Job requires treating people with respect, keeping commitments, working ethically and upholding organizational values.Stress Tolerance- Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The truck may or may not be air conditioned/heated seasonally. The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
