About the Role:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care within assisted living facilities and other healthcare settings across the United States. This position focuses on providing direct patient care, including wound management, pain control, and performing venipuncture, ensuring patients' comfort and safety. The LPN will also be responsible for educating patients and their families about health conditions and care plans, promoting better health outcomes. Collaboration with Nurse Practitioners and other healthcare professionals is essential to coordinate care and implement treatment plans effectively. Ultimately, the LPN contributes to maintaining a supportive and healing environment that enhances the quality of life for all patients under their care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid and current Nursing License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the United States.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
• Demonstrated experience in wound care and patient education.
• Ability to perform venipuncture and other basic nursing procedures safely.
• Prior experience working in an assisted living facility or similar healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working alongside Nurse Practitioners or within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Additional certifications in pain management or wound care.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Advanced training in patient care techniques or geriatric nursing.
• Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with daily living activities.
• Perform wound care management, including cleaning, dressing, and monitoring healing progress.
• Conduct venipuncture procedures safely and accurately for laboratory testing and treatment purposes.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-treatment care instructions.
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage pain effectively through assessment and administration of prescribed interventions.
• Ensure compliance with all nursing protocols and facility policies within the assisted living environment.
