Pediatric Psychiatric RN - Child & Adolescent Unit Shift Details

• 3x12-hour shifts
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Day/Evening/Night rotating shift schedule
• Includes weekends, holidays, and on-call per unit need

Position Overview

• Child and adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit serving patients ages 5-18 experiencing acute mental health crises
• Unit focus is on stabilization through robust group offerings, including Activities Therapy, Mindfulness, Wellness, and Coping Skills groups, as well as psychopharmacological interventions
• RNs work with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient goals and provide safe, effective, and therapeutic care
• Ideal for candidates with a passion for pediatric psychiatry

Required Qualifications

• NYS RN License
• 2 years of pediatric mental health experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)

Preferred Qualifications

• CPI Blue Card
• Experience in a large, academic medical center
