Job Description
Job Opportunity Position: Certified Scrub Tech Location: Canyon View Surgery Center, M-F, Days Position Highlights: The Certified Scrub Tech will play a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by preparing the operating room and assisting surgical teams. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency during operations. Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Assist during surgeries by anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
- Prepare patients for surgery by cleansing and disinfecting incision sites.
- Assist with patient positioning and draping to maintain a sterile environment.
- Clean and restock the operating room following surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate surgical counts of sponges, needles, and instruments to prevent retained surgical items.
- Operate and maintain surgical equipment, including lights, suction machines, and sterilization tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
- Current and unrestricted Colorado state licensure as a CST.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
