General Surgery - Surgical Oncology RNAt Novant Wilmington Surgical Associates, our reputation for surgical excellence has been earned by compassion, by commitment, and by a deeply held conviction that every patient matters.We seek a Nurse/RN to join the expanding Surgical Oncology/Breast Cancer teams. Position will involve assisting surgeon with office-based procedures and biopsies; surgery orders; wound care; answering, triaging, and documenting phone calls from patients or other physician's offices; administrative and clinical duties as assigned. RN will also work as part of larger nursing team under the direction of the clinical supervisor to serve all of Wilmington Surgical's general surgery patients. Additionally, you can get back your weekends and holidays never needing to miss another holiday or weekend event again.What You'll DoEducation: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.Licensure/Certification:Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT, preferred.At Novant Health, we believe remarkable care starts with compassion for our patients, our communities, and each other.
