Join us.Job DescriptionWith a strong pipeline of work across South East Queensland, we are looking for experienced Roads & Highways Engineers to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to work on major Queensland transport projects while collaborating with some of the industry's leading highways professionals.What makes this opportunity unique is flexibility. While our highways team is based in South East Queensland, we are open to applications from anywhere across Australia or New Zealand. If you have strong experience delivering projects for Queensland's Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), we'll connect you into our Queensland project portfolio while allowing you to remain based in your preferred AECOM office location.You'll play a key role in the delivery of major transport infrastructure projects across South East Queensland, working closely with clients, project managers, designers and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, innovative and sustainable solutions.How you'll make a differenceDeliver highways and road infrastructure designs in accordance with TMR standards and requirementsContribute to the planning, design and delivery of major Queensland transport projectsUndertake geometric road design, corridor design, intersections and associated civil infrastructureCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Australia and New ZealandSupport projects through concept, detailed design and construction phasesBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients and key project stakeholdersMentor and support developing engineers within the teamContribute to technical excellence, innovation and continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsThe qualities that help you thriveThe following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick every box, we'd still love to hear from you.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering5–10 years' experience in roads and highways engineeringDemonstrated experience delivering projects for Queensland TMRStrong understanding of TMR standards, design criteria and project delivery requirementsExperience in detailed design within a consulting engineering environmentProficiency with 12d, Civil 3D or similar design softwareStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work collaboratively across geographically dispersed teamsRPEQ or eligibility to obtain RPEQ will be highly regardedAdditional InformationWhy you’ll love working with us Flexible work arrangements, including alternative start/finish times, part-time, job-sharing and hybrid work optionsPurchase up to 6 weeks additional annual leave per yearVolunteer and representation leaveFlex public holidays – swap Easter or other holidays for ones that suit you betterReady to push the limits of what’s possible?We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities, additional health or mental health needs, and/or neurodiverse conditions.
