Description:
Start date is July 6.
This position requires candidates to be cardiac trained.
The shift is 3x12 hours, variable.
Weekend requirements include 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
For night shifts, any combination of Friday and Saturday nights will be accepted.
For day shifts, Saturday and Sunday shifts are required.
Is on-call required? No.
Floating within units to meet facility needs is expected.
Block scheduling accommodations are not available.
Local candidates will not be accepted.
Pending licenses are accepted if there is an estimated timeline for approval.
A maximum of 6 days of requested time off is allowed.
Hours are guaranteed after the call-off policy has been met.
Candidates must have 2 years of CVPICU experience leading up to the assignment.
Pediatric cardiac experience is mandatory.
Willingness to float between units is required.
The candidate must have experience with ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation.
This position is for a high-acuity unit caring for post-op cardiac surgical patients, congenital heart issues, and heart transplants.
The unit maintains patients through discharge.
The majority of patients are infants, with toddlers through young adults making up the remainder.
Travelers will not take on patients during the immediate post-operative period.
Previous experience in children's hospital cardiac intensive care is required.
The staffing schedule includes both day and night shifts.
Candidates must be prepared to work 2 out of 3 holidays.
