Maintenance Technician

Description


As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems in support of safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. Working in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment, you will partner closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to minimize downtime, maximize equipment reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position is ideal for military veterans and experienced maintenance professionals with backgrounds in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, electrical systems, mechanical systems, automation, production equipment, or facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation-related equipment issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore production operations in a safe and timely manner.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Support installation, startup, commissioning, and modification of production equipment and machinery.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve equipment and process-related issues.
• Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or military technical experience preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Basic computer skills and experience documenting maintenance activities.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Automotive manufacturing experience.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation systems.
• Knowledge of servo motors, VFDs, robotics, and control systems.
• Welding, fabrication, or machining experience.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Continuous Improvement experience.
• Electrical license, technical certification, or related trade certification.
