About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Data Governance. The successful candidate will be a senior leader tasked with defining and scaling enterprise-wide data management and governance practices. This pivotal role involves establishing standards, frameworks, and operating models to enhance the utilization of data. Key responsibilities include defining and implementing data management standards, building and improving the data governance framework, and defining accountability models for data ownership. The role also requires the alignment of stakeholders across a complex organizational structure and the embedding of governance practices into engineering and product workflows. Applicants must have a minimum of 8-10 years' experience in data governance, data management, or related disciplines, with a proven track record in building enterprise data frameworks and governance programs. Strong cross-functional leadership skills, particularly in engineering, product, and business, are essential. The role demands a deep understanding of regulatory environments and data policies, as well as the ability to communicate effectively, influence, and lead programs. The Executive Director will be responsible for standardizing processes across the data life cycle, improving data usability, quality, and trust, and partnering cross-functionally to meet regulatory expectations. Additionally, the role involves the implementation of data controls and governance mechanisms that can scale, supporting audit readiness, and continuous improvement of governance practices.
