Primary Skills: .REST APIs (Expert), Object-Oriented Programming (Advanced), Service-Oriented Architecture (Advanced), SQL/NoSQL Databases (Expert), Unit/Integration Testing (Advanced)
Contract Type: W2 and C2C
Location: Fremont, CA (100% Onsite - 5 days in office)
Duration: 6+ months (Possible extension)
Pay Range: $40 - $45 per hour on W2 or C2C

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join Client's Digital Products Engineering team, focusing on creating exceptional backend systems that support our customer-facing website and backend processes for Vehicle and Energy Products. The successful candidate will be part of a vital core services team, responsible for orchestrating the entire journey of our products from Order, Purchase, Delivery/Installation, and Ownership, ensuring a seamless and intuitive customer experience. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to our mission of transitioning the world to sustainable energy in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and systems for order processing, product installation, and ownership experiences.
• Quickly adapt to changing business priorities and requirements, taking ownership of feature development and projects from design to production.
• Ensure the writing of clean, maintainable, and well-tested code for new features and bug fixes.
• Monitor live system metrics, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot production issues, while understanding and improving system functionality.
• Communicate project updates effectively and work towards improving scalability, maintainability, and system visibility.

Must-Have Skills:

• Expert in REST API development
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming languages
• Proficient in microservices or service-oriented architecture

Industry Experience:

• Experience with technologies such as Go, C#, .NET core, MySQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, GraphQL, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes is highly preferred.
• Prior work in fast-paced, technology-driven companies focusing on sustainable energy or related domains is a plus.
