Details Level II Trauma Center emergency department at a short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds 1:4 patient ratio Evening shift, 4x12 hours (11:00-23:30) Every other weekend required Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active RN license (CT or Compact) required Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC Minimum 2 years of ER experience required (1.5 years accepted with Level I trauma or travel experience) Prior travel nursing experience required Epic charting system experience required Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, respiratory care, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, triage, and IV vasopressor administration One professional reference required Additional Information Provide emergency care including triage, medication administration, and cardiac emergency response in a fast-paced trauma center setting Free parking available on site Part of the Yale New Haven Health System Flu vaccination required with no declinations accepted COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only Local candidates not accepted unless residing more than 75 miles from the hospital Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler Up to 7 days of requested time off can be auto-approved Travelers may be required to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities American Traveler Job ID P-761730.
