TTM stands for time-to-market, representing how TTM's time-critical, one-stop design, engineering and manufacturing services enable customers to reduce the time required to develop new products and bring them to market.Scope:The Supplier Quality Engineer will oversee supplier performance/evaluation and drive continuous improvement activity with TTM's suppliers.Duties and Responsibilities:Review supplier quality data and nonconformanceProvide dispositions of suspect supplier parts and work with the supplier on corrective action and implementation of escape prevention through the use of quality inspection plans and quality specificationsAssure parts and components are received for inspection in the most efficient manner while maintaining the high-quality standards requiredEstablish and collect data for supplier performance monitoring, analyzing results and providing feedback to drive improvementDevelop and maintain monthly supplier improvement plans and report statusGenerate and track responses to supplier CARs, ensuring issues are driven to closureTravel to suppliers to conduct process reviews and assessments as neededPartner with TTM operators, inspector(s), suppliers and Process Engineering on daily questions or issues that arise from general daily activitiesInteract with suppliers and management on quality related concerns from the manufacturing area affecting product compliance, corrective and preventative actions.Familiarity with FMEA, Detail Process and Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis and Error Proofing toolsSupport completion of First Article Inspection Reports, FAIRs, and other essential quality systemsWork with first article inspection group to drive reduction in supplier documentation issuesApply working knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP. Active member of the QMS internal audit teamSupport monthly Continuous Improvement Meeting with Production and Quality DepartmentsAll other assigned duties as required within the quality organizationEssential Knowledge and Skills:Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical data analysis and interpretation, as well as the ability to develop, implement, and drive improvement plans and project teams to successful completionStrong background in the use and understanding of key manufacturing performance metricsStrong communication skills in English-verbal & written, planning, and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively with all levels of the organizationExcellent interpersonal skills; willingness to be part of a teamProficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookGood English skills with the ability to read, write and communicate clearlyGood reading vision; ability to sit/stand up to 8 hours a dayDue to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a US Citizen or Permanent ResidentEducation:BS, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience, or 4-6 years technical work experience in electronics manufacturing/engineering or related fieldPreferred Experience:Previous engineering experience within a PCBA environmentWorking knowledge of Industry and Military StandardsTTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado.
