Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact working with students as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist for a rewarding contract assignment covering a maternity leave. This full-time position runs from September 14 through November 30, with hours totaling 37.5 per week. You’ll support a caseload of 50-60 elementary-aged students, delivering high-quality speech therapy services within a collaborative school environment.

The role is exclusively onsite, so you’ll be actively engaged with staff and students every day. Candidates who hold their CCC are encouraged to apply, but Clinical Fellows will also be considered and supported.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid SLP licensure in Louisiana (or eligibility to obtain at start)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but not required; strong CF candidates welcome
• Prior school-based SLP experience or pediatric caseloads is an advantage
• Strong interpersonal skills, team orientation, and adaptability for a dynamic elementary school environment
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy to a caseload of 50-60 elementary students
• Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations as required
• Develop and update IEPs, maintaining thorough and timely documentation
• Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Support students’ overall communication development in both individual and group settings
