About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 to 2 Years Experience Required License: Must have active nursing license Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: ACLS preferred Previous Charge Experience preferred Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Progressive Care Unit. Patient ratios are 1:5. The role requires experience in telemetry and cardiac telemetry. Candidates should be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization patients is necessary. Skills in wound care, alcohol withdrawal, renal failure, atrial fibrillation, gastrointestinal bleeding, strokes, and COVID care are needed. The role will involve floating between multiple units as required. Clinicians must adhere to weekend and holiday shift requirements. Floating may be necessary within the facility as per needs. The successful candidate will provide care to adult and geriatric patients. Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary support teams are essential. Familiarity with charting systems is preferred. Candidates should be prepared to manage a variety of patient diagnoses. Additional skills in IV therapy and phlebotomy are advantageous. The nurse will participate in emergency response situations as needed.
