Job Overview Entity: Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Department: Catheterization Laboratory. Work Hours: 06:30-19:00. Weekend Requirements: As needed. Full‑time equivalent: 0.9. Job Summary Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities Perform functions related to problem definition, data collection, interpretation, and analysis. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with patient/family and members of the healthcare team. Assess learning needs of patient and family and provide education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn. Perform duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Skills and Attributes Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under general supervision. Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Apply advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization. Position Requirements Work Experience: No experience required. Education: Associate's degree or higher or Diploma in Nursing required upon hire; Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required within 5 years of employment. Licensure/Certification/Registration: RN – Registered Nurse licensed in Kentucky required upon hire; ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required upon hire; BLS – Basic Life Support required within 45 days of employment.
