Flexographic Press Operator (3-Day Work Week) Smyth is hiring a skilled Flexographic Press Operator to join our growing team at our facility centrally located in the Twin Cities. If you have printing experience and strong mechanical aptitude, this is a great opportunity to work a compressed 3-day schedule while producing high-quality labels and packaging. Schedules Available Monday-Wednesday | 5:00 AM – 5:15 PM and Thursday–Saturday | 5:00 AM – 5:15 PM 12.25-hour shifts (36.75 hours/week) Overtime available (paid after 40 hours) Pay & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience and quarterly bonus opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) + paid holidays Short- and long-term disability Life insurance Career growth opportunities What You’ll Do Set up and operate a Nilpeter or other flexographic press Produce high-quality labels while meeting production and quality standards Monitor and reduce material waste Ensure press is fully stocked and running efficiently Collaborate with team members to meet production goals Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED Strong mechanical aptitude 3+ years of printing or press operation experience Preferred: Flexographic printing experience Experience with: o Cold foil o Hot stamp dies o Rotary screens o Tactile varnishes Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or BRC quality systems What We’re Looking For Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Team-oriented with strong communication skills Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Why Join Smyth?
