This role works closely with veterinarians to perform advanced diagnostic, treatment, anesthesia, and monitoring procedures while ensuring compassionate patient care and excellent client communication. Responsibilities Provide compassionate nursing care to emergency and critical care patients throughout hospitalization and recovery. Triage emergency patients and assist with urgent medical assessments and treatments. Place IV catheters, collect blood samples, administer medications, and manage IV fluid therapy. Assist with emergency diagnostics, supportive therapies, and advanced patient care procedures. Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency and surgical procedures. Perform venipuncture, airway management, oxygen therapy, and other emergency nursing procedures. Process laboratory samples, perform diagnostic testing, and accurately document patient information. Monitor patient status, report changes in condition, and communicate effectively with the medical team. Provide client education, discharge instructions, and compassionate communication during stressful situations. Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment and emergency areas. Qualifications Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred. Minimum of two years of veterinary experience encouraged. Emergency or specialty veterinary experience preferred. Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, medication administration, and patient monitoring. Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, radiology safety, and fluid therapy. Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced emergency environment. Fluent English speaking and reading skills required; multilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
