Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in an Inpatient Rehab/Acute setting, requiring 1+ years of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Department: Phys Med Therapy Physical unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Weekend requirement, shift runs Friday through Tuesday
• Floating required to Inpatient Rehab/Acute areas
• Uniform top issued for dress code
• 13-week assignment, full-time

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapist licensure required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university required
• Experience with modalities/equipment used by Physical Therapists as outlined by relevant examining board

Additional Information

• Provides Physical Therapy services including assessment, treatment plan development, implementation, and discharge planning for inpatients and outpatients
• Assists with clinical aspects of the department including program development, operations, and Performance Improvement activities
• May assist with supervising and coordinating Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant student programs
• Supervises Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Technicians, and Volunteers
• Participates in patient care conferences, family conferences, in-service programs, and interdepartmental meetings
• Counsels patients and families regarding evaluation, care, and treatment
• Must complete pre-employment/post job offer health screening and annual screening thereafter
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Returning employees must be separated from the health system for 6 months prior to starting a new travel assignment
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
