Licensed Mental Health Therapist

We are actively seeking a compassionate mental health therapist for our clinic who is committed to therapeutic excellence for our patients. You will be responsible for doing diagnostic assessments, making customized treatment plans with goals and objectives, providing crisis intervention as needed, and following up with patients to ensure they are receiving appropriate ongoing care. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of clinical experience working with mental health patients as well as a current LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) license. Responsibilities Assess patients’ mental condition based on review of medical information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members Develop specific therapy plans with goals and objectives for individual patients Recommend community services or specialists for patients and family members in need Reassess patient situations and provide appropriate follow-up care based on their current needs Aid with crisis intervention for patients when they are in a state of distress Conduct and interpret psychological evaluations for clients and their families Provide counseling and psychotherapy services to achieve treatment goals, reduce symptoms, and improve functioning Document care and consult with supervisors regarding care decisions on a regular basis Qualifications Licensure in the state you reside as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or the equivalent is required 1-3 years in a clinical setting working with mental health patients is required Additional certifications required: CPR, BLS (Basic Life Support) Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills High school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or equivalent; masters degree preferred Independent licensure or close to sitting for exam - LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PSYD, etc Must have at least a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology Compensation $60 - $85 hourly based on billing. #J-18808-Ljbffr A New Day Family Counseling
