Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit - Per Diem

Job Description:

Are you an ICU RN seeking flexible per diem work with the variety of a float pool across regional care sites? This role puts you in a fast-paced environment where you can quickly adapt to different patient needs, collaborate with a supportive team, and deliver high-quality critical care. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of two years of ICU experience, an active RN license, current BLS and ACLS, NIHSS, and either a MAB or CPI credential, with readiness to work night shifts and float between units. Requirements:

• ICU nursing experience required: minimum 2 years in ICU
• CA RN license required
• No EMSA
• Current BLS and ACLS
• NIHSS and AHA certifications
• CPIMAB or SAAM certification (4-8 contact hours, in-person element)
• MAB or CPI certification (hybrid or in-person, 4-8 contact hours)
• Two direct supervisor references updated within the last year, ICU unit experience; 1 reference must be submitted; peer references not accepted
• Returning clinicians must be approved by the facility
• Within 50 miles / 1 hour commute
• Willing to float between Downey and Whittier locations
• License hits / DNR: any hits require facility approval; DNRs will be rejected
• Allscripts EMD charting required; basic unit orientation; Allscripts training prior to start
• Scrubs: Royal Blue; Parking: Free; Covid vaccine declinations accepted
