Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required
Professional Engineer license preferred
Minimum 5+ years of experience in land development engineering
Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as Civil3D
Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans
Knowledge of stormwater modeling tools including StormCAD, HEC-RAS, and PCSWMM
Experience researching zoning, development standards, and compliance regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Projects)

Preferred Background & Skills

Experience with large- and small-scale drainage and best management practices (BMP) design
Familiarity with AutoCAD, AES, CIVILD, WSPGW software
Skilled in hydrologic calculations and open channel/detention basin design
Ability to prepare detailed reports, development applications, and technical correspondence

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead technical aspects of complex land development projects and provide guidance to junior engineers
Review zoning regulations and assist project teams with permitting processes
Develop new or improved civil engineering techniques and design solutions
Coordinate with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on project issues
Conduct field investigations, inspections, and constructability reviews
Prepare design plans, technical specifications, reports, and contract documents
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards
