Electrical & Instrumentation (I&C) Construction Supervisor

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 + Overtime Opportunities. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-Hour Days. Summary Electrical & Instrumentation (I&C) Construction Supervisor support major power generation projects across multiple power stations. This role is ideal for a hands‑on construction leader with a strong background in electrical systems, instrumentation & controls, commissioning, contractor management, and power plant operations. You will oversee contractors, ensure project quality and safety, support commissioning and startup activities, and help deliver projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise electrical and I&C construction activities across multiple power generation sites. Ensure contractor work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all company and regulatory requirements. Support a Zero Incident safety culture and enforce all safety procedures. Review project drawings, specifications, and construction plans to identify potential issues and recommend solutions. Coordinate electrical and controls project scope, schedules, and contractor activities. Monitor project progress and identify critical path items that may impact schedules. Review and approve contractor change notices and scope modifications. Assist with preparing installation and subcontractor work packages. Conduct field inspections to verify quality, workmanship, and compliance with project requirements. Support project bidding, contractor evaluations, and contract administration activities. Coordinate commissioning and startup activities with plant operations and maintenance personnel. Track project performance, productivity, costs, and schedule adherence. Participate in outage planning, execution, and coordination activities. Maintain QA/QC standards to minimize rework and support successful project completion. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Construction management training or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience in heavy industrial construction, construction management, or power generation projects. 10+ years of experience supporting electrical and instrumentation/control systems commissioning and startup. Experience working in combined‑cycle power plants, power generation facilities, refineries, chemical plants, or other heavy industrial environments. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, commissioning, and startup activities. Experience managing contractors and field construction activities. Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable construction standards. Experience developing scopes of work, reviewing contractor proposals, and supporting contract administration. Strong leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills. Experience with computerized maintenance and work management systems. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Experience supporting outage planning and execution. Experience with cost control, project scheduling, and quality management systems. Previous utility or power generation experience. Work Environment Work in active power generation facilities. Frequent travel between Big Bend, Bayside, and Polk Power Stations. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, elevated noise levels, and industrial environments. Must be able to wear required PPE and comply with all safety requirements. Occasional nights, weekends, overtime, and on‑call support may be required.
