Dispatcher II

At KAG, this role puts you at the center of daily logistics-working closely with customers, drivers, and internal teams to keep freight moving smoothly. You'll serve as a key point of contact, representing KAG with professionalism, strong communication, and a customer-first approach.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for executing a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area.


Essential Functions

• Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts
• Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, dispatchers, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Partner with terminal manager to plan and carry out shipping operations
• Monitor daily delivery schedule for drivers
• Organize and sort incoming mail and paperwork
• Verify driver paperwork for each load
• Image/Scan documents into the dispatch system
• Data entry of driver detention pay, calculate hourly pay, layovers, breakdowns
• Receive orders from customers and create loads in dispatch system
• Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
• Monitor e-mail for incoming orders, communication between team members
• Admin support including payroll and billing
• On-call duties as needed
  
  

• High school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of customer facing dispatching experience; Associate or Bachelor Degree in business, supply chain, logistics, preferred.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent conflict resolution and skills
