Arlington, United States | Posted on 06/09/2026 Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off (12-hour shifts) Compensation: $120,000 – $155,000 annually (based on experience) Sign-On Bonus: Available Relocation Assistance: Available Overview A high-volume neurology and stroke program in Arlington, Texas, is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to support its inpatient neuro hospitalist service. This role operates within a hybrid neurology care model, providing comprehensive inpatient neurological care across acute care, step-down, and critical care environments. The ideal candidate will have strong inpatient clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex neurological conditions in a collaborative healthcare setting. Responsibilities Manage inpatient neurology and stroke patients across acute care, step-down, and ICU settings Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and develop treatment plans Participate in acute stroke response and rapid evaluation protocols Collaborate with neurologists, hospitalists, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams Interpret diagnostic studies, including imaging and laboratory results Manage high-acuity neurological conditions such as stroke, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurotrauma Support patient throughput, discharge planning, and transitions of care Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care needs Requirements Required Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Active Texas APRN and Registered Nurse licenses, or eligibility for licensure Board Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP or ACNP preferred) Minimum of two years of inpatient or hospital-based Nurse Practitioner experience Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Preferred Experience in neurology, stroke, neurocritical care, or hospital medicine Experience with stroke protocols, ICU-level care, or hospitalist workflows Familiarity with electroencephalography (EEG), lumbar puncture procedures, or advanced neurological diagnostics Salary: $120,000 – $155,000 annually Performance-based incentive opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid Time Off (PTO) Continuing Medical Education (CME) support Malpractice coverage Life and disability insurance Relocation assistance (case-by-case) Ideal Candidate Has strong inpatient clinical experience Enjoys managing complex neurological and stroke patients Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced hospital environment Demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills Values high-quality patient care and interdisciplinary teamwork #J-18808-Ljbffr Texas Nursing Services
