AirTower DAS Engineer

Job Description Airtower Networks is looking for an RF Engineer to join their team as an In‑Building Design Engineer. They are looking for someone with 3‑5 years of in‑building experience supporting both carrier and public safety projects. The engineer will be responsible for performing site surveys, site walks, creating BOMs, and helping the engineers create actual designs and revisions to optimize the design within iBwave that meets the customers’ needs. There will be a level of QC review of the drawings themselves. They will be working on designs and projects that could be a 3‑million‑square‑foot facility or a 26‑floor MDU in the city. They will also be working with the field technicians to do commissioning, integrating and testing of DAS equipment and signal strength. They should be familiar with multiple OEMs; Airtower uses JMA and ADRF primarily. Responsibilities Perform site surveys and walks, create BOMs and support design revisions in iBwave. Conduct QC review of drawings. Work on large‑scale projects such as 3‑million‑square‑foot facilities or 26‑floor MDUs. Commission, integrate, and test DAS equipment and signal strength with field technicians. Perform sweep testing, PIM, OTDR testing and quality‑control checks for head‑end, remote equipment, cable infrastructure, and grid walks. Collect and provide close‑out packages. Communicate with design engineers, project managers, customers, landlords, and construction crews. Collaborate, train, and mentor field technicians. Participate in design, construction, maintenance, and optimization phases of the wireless lifecycle. Travel 40‑50% of the time, typically twice a month; required 3 days per month minimum, projects may range from 2 days to a week. Qualifications 3‑5 years of in‑building experience supporting carrier and public safety projects. Proficient in iBwave, sweep testing, PIM, OTDR.
