Receptionist

Receptionist PositionWe are looking for a friendly, informative, and welcoming Receptionist to join our growing company. The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for all customers to Advance and, as such, is critical in ensuring a positive first impression. Primary responsibilities of the Receptionist include confirming, answering and directing all phone calls through the primary company phone number, managing overflow from other locations, and performing administrative work related to invoices, receipts, mail, shipping information, and filing.Some duties may include:Answering phone calls and directing to relevant partiesDirecting walk-in customers to the appropriate individualsCollect invoices and receipts to verify accuracySort and file posted and/or outstanding invoicesComplete assorted filing and administrative tasks as neededManaging inventory of office and/or kitchen supplies and ordering as necessaryOrganize, review and allocate incoming mailServing as an administrative support for other departments on special projectsSupport with organizing company events such as holiday parties, birthday celebrations, employee lunches, etc.Updating office staff calendar with time off informationPerforms other work-related duties as required and assignedRequirements:Lift up to 50 poundsExcellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualitiesBe capable of working in a fast-paced environment, in a customer focused role, while having a high attention to detail and speedPrior experience handling a multi-line phone systemBasic computer experience such as Microsoft Office, Point-of-Sale and/or another internal database softwareWhat will make us really love you:A self-motivated, positive, team player eager to join the family.Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.Treats others with fairness and respect; listens to others in team decisions and actions, and shares information with others on the team.Excellent customer service and office administrative skillsHighly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to modify tasks with changing prioritiesWhat you'll love about us:A family-oriented business is kind of our tradition – for 100 years and counting!We are rebuilding Detroit, both through the physical buildings and the people who call it home.
