Senior Data Consultant

Apex Systems is hiring a Senior Data Consultant for a large Healthcare client.

Location: Fully remote anywhere in the US.

Role Overview

This position supports an organization in making data-related decisions by analyzing, manipulating, and reporting data. This role involves a combination of business and data analysis to support data solutions.

As a Senior Data Consultant, you will pull, integrate, and analyze data from multiple systems to generate strategic insights, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and communicate findings to stakeholders with diverse technical backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull, integrate, and analyze data from multiple systems, including on-premises environments and Databricks.
• Translate business or policy questions into tactical and analytical requirements.
• Extract and synthesize data from multiple company data systems.
• Summarize and consult on the results from data analysis.
• Support member outreach efforts through data analysis, ETL work, and reporting.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.

Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of related business and/or data analysis experience is required.

Technical Skills:

• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and analytics.
• Proficiency in synthesizing data into presentations and visualizations using Excel or Power BI.
• Strong consulting and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience with the analytical manipulation and interpretation of large databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with specific company data systems is preferred.
• Healthcare domain knowledge, including an understanding of healthcare plans, utilization, patient-day metrics, and cost data.
• Databricks experience is preferred.
• A Master's degree.
• Advanced statistics, predictive analytics, and forecasting skills.

Work Environment

This is a remote position. Candidates may be located anywhere in the U.S., though working hours aligned with the West Coast are preferred. The role requires the ability to work independently while collaborating with stakeholders and other departments. Occasional travel may be requested.
