Job Title: Construction Laborer

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Pay: $18-$20 an hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Laborer to support various construction projects. This role involves assisting skilled trades, maintaining job sites, and performing general labor duties to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials, tools, and equipment on job sites
• Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and maintaining a safe work environment
• Assist skilled trades such as carpenters, electricians, and masons with daily tasks
• Set up and take down scaffolding, temporary structures, and equipment
• Dig trenches, backfill holes, and perform basic site preparation work
• Operate hand tools and basic power tools as needed
• Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to construction plans
• Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials on-site
• Comply with all safety regulations, policies, and OSHA guidelines

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous construction or general labor experience is a plus
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow directions
• Ability to work well in a team environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jersey City, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
