Industrial Electrician Apprentice

We are seeking an Industrial Electrician Apprentice to join our team on day shift. This role is ideal for someone who has recently completed trade school or has a few years of experience in the field. You will work closely under a seasoned Journeyman Electrician, gaining the skills needed to eventually step into their role as they approach retirement. This provides a ton of growth opportunity in the Industrial Electrician field! This is a direct hire opportunity with the company and will be eligible for health and retirement benefits on day one of being hired!

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical, robotic, and pneumatic issues on production equipment efficiently.

• Perform electrical and software troubleshooting of equipment failures with guidance.

• Provide basic electrical and pneumatic maintenance support and training to operators.

• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical, robotic, and pneumatic systems.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform basic preventative maintenance for hydraulic and mechanical equipment.

• Assist with wiring and installation of new equipment; manage projects from conception to implementation with guidance.

• Recommend equipment and facility improvements to Maintenance Manager.

• Complete required maintenance documentation, including work orders, timesheets, and parts requests.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.

• Proficiency in industrial electrical skills and understanding of electrical schematics.

• Basic proficiency in water systems, electronic controls, and pneumatics.

• Experience using diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.

• Proficiency in all phases of circuitry and AC/DC voltage; knowledge of high voltage from 575-3300 volts.

• Basic knowledge of robotics and PLCs.

• Operate power tools and hand tools; basic rigging abilities.

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret work orders and equipment manuals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical training in a related field is preferred.

Work Environment

The work is performed in a non-temperature controlled, smoke-free manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels. Exposure to extreme temperatures is common. Designated PPE must be worn at all times in the plant. Work may occur near equipment with moving parts or involve some chemicals and resins.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mount Joy, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
