Job Description Bonus Information Up to $5,000.00 Sign On Bonus Up to $3,000.00 Relocation Bonus Schedule Information Full-time Days Schedule includes one weekend day. Locations AdventHealth Waterman: Tavares, FL Responsibilities Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds. Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely. Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques. Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patient and staff. Performs radiographic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images that meet department standards. Positions patients and equipment, selecting technical factors to produce radiographic images safely and in a timely manner. Performs imaging with correct patient demographic and examination information. Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma. Previous Radiologic Technologist experience. One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers. Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately. Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility. Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their families, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals. Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be able to use computer system for data entry and retrieval. Patient care skills to care for Infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations. Maintain responsibility for all required registries and licenses to perform Diagnostic Imaging. Ability to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. This position requires knowledge of the use of computerized and radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner consistent with minimal radiation exposure and maximum image quality. Education High School Grad or Equiv. Associate. Bachelor's. Work Experience 1+ year experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology program. Licenses and Certifications Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R) (ARRT)). Certified Radiologic Tech (R.T.-CERT). Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS).
