Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D), Post PartumThe Registered Nurse (RN) provides holistic care to patients and families in a Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Post Partum setting. The role emphasizes independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions tailored to the specific needs of the assigned service area. The RN is involved in the care of diverse populations, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults throughout the life cycle.The RN is responsible for executing the Standards of Nursing Practice, which encompass:AssessmentNursing diagnosisOutcome identificationPlanningImplementationEvaluationThe RN develops and revises each patient's plan of care, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and delegating care activities appropriately. Active participation in shared accountability, decision-making regarding nursing practices, and continual improvement of practice standards and care environments are key responsibilities.Key Qualifications2+ years of experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D) - RequiredProficiency in postpartum and newborn care - RequiredExperience with fetal monitoring and interpretation - RequiredAbility to circulate during c-sections - RequiredExperience caring for newborns, adolescents, and adults - RequiredFamiliarity with Epic electronic health record system - RequiredCurrent certifications in BLS (AHA or ARC) and NRP - RequiredAWHONN certification - RequiredSTABLE certification - Highly PreferredExperience with Fetal Monitoring (EFM) - Highly PreferredWork ScheduleThis position requires rotating shifts, including both day and night shifts, with a 36-hour guaranteed work week.
