Job Description Day to Day Responsibilities Meet the team: We are a multi-disciplinary team of user experience designers, industrial designers, visual designers, user researchers and instructional designers. Our passion for the products comes from our passion for the people (including team members) that use our products each day to take control of their health. This role reports to a Senior Manager of UX Design as a member of the Global Product Design team. We're passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. We build delightful and accessible products that display data and insights across multiple platforms. We follow the principles of user-centric design thinking to make data meaningful and actionable for our users. With this role, you'll be part of the team focused on platform, internal tools, and product support for the entire product portfolio. You'll design experiences that help patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers access the Client ecosystem successfully, navigate it easily, and find support effortlessly. You'll work with a variety of stakeholders including Product Management, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, Medical Affairs, User Research, and Human Factors from design concept to approvals and delivery. Where you come in: You will help shape what's next by partnering with product managers, fellow designers, and engineers to define both the long-term strategy and the short-term tactics for our products and services. You will be a voice for design by helping us drive the vision for the look, feel, and interactions in Client products, and communicate that vision to the rest of the company. You will push forward new design ideas proactively and take ownership of tasks that impact the entire product portfolio of Client apps and internal tools. You will be a champion for the user by immersing yourself in patient, caregiver, and healthcare provider experiences and help tell the varied and diverse stories of these users as you work to improve their experiences with Client products. Likewise, you'll be a champion for your colleagues as you work to improve their experiences with internal tools. You will positively influence our design culture by building up our teams, departments, and company through words and actions. You will welcome feedback and respectful disagreement. You can take abstract ideas and concepts and transform them into tangible, delightful experiences for our users. A great fit for this role is a designer that may not know everything there is to know about the experience managing diabetes, but through research and curiosity can form metaphors for the tasks managing diabetes involves that resonate with users, visually and conceptually. Your job is to take usually complex information, workflows, and concepts and transform them into delightful experiences that resonate with users. You have advanced knowledge and experience designing for both web and native mobile apps. We'd love for the person in this role to understand the challenges of building products that need to serve responsive web, iOS, and Android platforms while speaking one holistic design language. Your job is to work with design systems, Material Design, and iOS Human Interface Guidelines to craft consistent, high-quality experiences across our products. You value clear, open communication. You have a portfolio showcasing UX workflow process and ideation. You have experience using prototyping (Such as: Principle, Sketch, Figma, HTML/CSS/JS, etc.) to validate and convey ideas. We don't expect you to have an "ideal" portfolio, we are interested in understanding your knowledge and experience across the user experience discipline. You love crafting powerful experiences that empower health. You'll be part of a team responsible for ensuring our users understand and effectively use the suite of Client products and services. We'd love it if the person in this role has their own ideas about what constitutes great UX from the very first interaction with Client and is excited about helping Client evolve. Experience designing web interfaces and native iOS and Android applications. Supporting annual OS updates and making the necessary design changes to ensure seamless user experience across platforms. Excellent communication and presentation skills to stakeholders or executive levels. No specific AI tool experience is required. Work related years of experience: 2 - 5 years experience (GCF Requirement: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2-5 years of related experience) Education Requirements: Experience with regulated medical device software, prescription digital health products, Human Factors/usability engineering, WCAG accessibility guidelines, and healthcare onboarding is strongly preferred. Required Skills (top 3 non-negotiables): 4+ years of UX or product design experience, with demonstrated strength designing patient- and provider-facing experiences in healthcare, diabetes care, or other regulated product environments You must have a portfolio that demonstrates strong end-to-end UX design process, including clinical problem framing, workflow mapping, data visualization, interaction design, usability testing, and design rationale. Include your online portfolio link or PDF in your application, including any required passwords. You must have experience designing responsive web experiences, mobile app experiences, and familiarity with iOS, Android, accessibility, and platform design patterns. Experience designing companion experiences for sensors, wearables, connected devices, or data-rich health products is strongly preferred. Preferred Skills (nice to have) Prior experience as a Mid-level or Senior UX Designer delivering complex digital health, medical device, or clinical software products Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, or another related field. You must be proficient with modern design, prototyping, and collaboration tools including Figma. Familiarity with design systems and AI-enabled design workflows is a plus.
