Operations ManagerKey Job Responsibilities:Responsibilities for the operations of the bubbling fluidized bed (BFB) boilerCoordinates all activities on siteOversees system start-ups and shut downsMonitors and adjusts the equipment Works with integrated controls – programmable logic controls (PLC), distributed control systems (DCS), etcUnderstands combustion theory applications and works comfortable with proportional integral derivative (PID) instrument loops and emission control systemsConducts boiler water chemistry analysis and daily system walk downDirects and monitors shift team work in accordance with safety and productivity goalsRoutine use of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Power PointEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE4 year college degree or military preferredMinimum of 7 years experience in power plant and control room operationsExperience with boiler water chemistry analysisSolid fuel firing a plusHeavy equipment experience a plusPratt Industries is America's 5th largest paper and packaging company with more than 9,000 highly skilled green collar employees dedicated to the environment and sustainability.
