Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) Reports To: Dr. Tian Location: Kettle Point General Summary Of Duties The NP/PA will be responsible for delivering specialized care in non-opioid interventional pain management at the largest Orthopedics practice in the state of Rhode Island. They will conduct assessments, formulate treatment plans, and provide patient education, playing a key role in optimizing musculoskeletal health and enhancing overall patient well‑well‑being. Essential Job Functions Conduct thorough assessments of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the physician. Prescribe medications, therapies, and non-surgical interventions. Design and oversee rehabilitation programs to improve patient function. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including orthopedic surgeons and therapists. Educate patients on conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures. Assist in medical procedures and contribute to pre‑ and post‑operative care. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records. Additional duties as assigned by the physician/manager to meet department needs. Requirements Completion of accredited NP or PA program. State (RI) licensure and national certification. Experience with pain management is preferred but not required or a new PA graduate with commitment in pain medicine. Interpersonal skills including excellent communication skills to deal effectively with staff, patients, and physicians in a knowledgeable, professional, and courteous manner.
