Senior Attorney

Description Working hours are generally between 15-20 hours per week, to a maximum of 40 hours; Park Attendants are needed Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. until dark and during daylight hours on Saturday and Sunday. The position includes routine assistance at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center park, following applicable departmental policies and procedures. Work is performed independently and requires initiative. Work is reviewed by supervisors through completed tasks, records, and reports. Errors are usually detected in subsequent operations. The position requires regular communication with the public, handling difficult contacts, and may require irregular hours and working outdoors. Examples of Duties Provides assistance to park users, where applicable and when possible Ensures all users are adhering to park rules and bans violators from activities Acts as liaison between users May collect user fees Handles minor situations and reports problems or accidents to appropriate parties, including family members, park officials, police agencies and emergency personnel Provides written reports on accidents, incidents, and other needed information Monitors bathroom supplies and may be required to restock and/or perform clean up Typical Qualifications High school graduation or G.E.D. may be required based on assignment Some experience working independently is desirable Must be at least 18 years old Supplemental Information A background check will be required for any individual hired, transferred, reclassified, or promoted into this job.
