This role partners with health system executives, operational leaders, and client stakeholders to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and patient experience outcomes.The Senior Director oversees large-scale revenue cycle teams and initiatives spanning Patient Access, Scheduling, Registration, Authorization, Financial Counseling, Health Information Management (HIM), Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI), Charge Capture, Coding, Billing, Claims Management, Denials Prevention and Recovery, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Cash Applications, and Revenue Integrity. The individual serves as a trusted advisor to healthcare clients, leveraging industry best practices, technology, analytics, and process improvement methodologies to optimize key performance indicators and achieve sustainable results.KEY JOB DUTIES:Guides and directs subordinate Directors and managers in the Patient Financial Services areas within the Shared Service Center.Directs training for managers and oversees the training of area assigned staff.Develops and implements policy and procedure recommendations to meet the needs of the Health and Hospital System and its patients;Oversees preparation of the budget for areas of responsibilityPrepares annual statement of goals and objectives in collaboration with subordinates;Attends outside meetings related to the Health and Hospital System including the Board of Supervisors, when assigned; Serves on various committees of the Health and Hospital System;Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, local government, and private industry mandates;Ensures staff are aware and compliant with all applicable laws, regulations and guidelinesAnalyzes and identifies Patient Financial Services needs to determine appropriate action and make recommendations for problem resolution or procedural changes if appropriate;Identifies issues, risks, barriers and opportunities for improvement related to set responsibility areaAnalyzes, interprets, and summarizes pertinent revenue cycle data components, and monitors performance against Key Performance Indicators;Develops professional and technical skill set in subordinate staff, and develops ongoing training and education materials for staff and patient education;Supervises, trains, develops and motivates subordinate staff;Performs related duties as required.REQUIRED SKILLS:A High regard for the dignity and worth of patients and their families.Ability to read and write in the English language.Ability to understand and speak English fluently enough to be easily understood by patients, hospital personnel, physicians, and visitors.Ability to use good judgment in an emergency situation.Commitment to upholding and providing services in a manner that is congruent with the Hospital’s mission statement.Evidence of leadership, integrity, initiative and communication skills.Flexibility.Good organizational skills.Mental/physical health sufficient to meet the demands and pressures of the position.CORE QUALIFICATIONS: Current permanent U.S. work authorization requiredBe local to or willing to travel to greater Hutchinson, Kansas area Bachelor's degree requiredLimited travel requiredProficient in Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Direct Supervisory ExperiencePatient Financial Service Experience required min of 5 years in leadership capacity10 +years of healthcare operations experienceThe estimated salary range for this job is $160,000 - $224,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy and Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
