HVAC Technician- Cape Girardeau, MO

The role focuses on being the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers within a defined market that includes healthcare, process manufacturing, education institutions, and office complexes. You will commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments. Work Location Field-based: Work is conducted on-site at customer locations. Responsibilities Coordinate with the team leader/project manager and the customer to understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing on-site work. Represent the company as the direct customer contact and be responsible for products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at the customer’s location. Use cutting‑edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand‑tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units. Display team effort and dedication to customers by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays. Continuously enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company‑issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditions. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required, and typically 5+ years of experience in HVAC. Technical school or formal training is preferred. Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad). Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit & run, license suspension, reckless or careless driving, or multiple minor infractions in the previous 3 years. EPA Certification. Compensation Annual Base Salary Range: $21.89 – $40.34 per hour. Safety Sensitive Role Yes – safety‑sensitive roles may require additional drug screening.
