Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Operator will be responsible for safely operating production machinery and using tools on the production floor.Schedule: This role requires availability to work on a rotational shift on a monthly basis. You will be assigned to a twelve (12) hour shift schedule that will alternate every 4 weeks between Day Shift and Night Shift.Day Shift: Monday to Thursday or Monday to Wednesday, 5:00am – 5:00 pmNight Shift: Monday to Thursday or Monday to Wednesday, 5:00 pm – 5:00amDuties & AccountabilitiesSet up, run, and shut down manufacturing equipment.Able to understand the manufacturing production scheduleMonitor product quality followed with appropriate responsesRecord manufacturing data.Use of database and reporting systemsConduct all work safely while following the Mattr CS Safety program, procedures, and policiesVerifying raw materials prior to use and throughout the manufacturing processOperate forklifts, manufacturing equipment, hand tools, and power toolsPerform operator preventative maintenanceSupporting and mentoring other OperatorsUnderstand procedures, processes, equipment and productAccept guidance, leadership, and supervision to achieve company goals.Ensure that any problems encountered are reported to the Lead OperatorOther duties as assignedSafetyMaintain a safe working environment by aligning with corporate safety rules and regulations, and ensuring a culture of safety Ensure that the equipment and process operate efficiently and safelyRequired Qualifications1 year previous manufacturing experience (preferred)Able to work a rotational shift as required for business purposes.Available to work both weekdays/ weekendsBasic computer skillsComfortable working in a plant environmentKnowledge and prior experience of power toolsAble to work at heights and confined spaces when requiredAbility to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 20-50 lbs., bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of timeGood work ethic and attitude with good mechanical aptitudeAbility to meet pre-employment testing requirements (i.e. drug and alcohol, physical fitness, audiogram, and vision testing)Strong safety mindsetFlexpipe, a division of Mattr manufactures and sells spoolable composite pipe, used primarily by oil and natural gas producers in applications which benefit from the product's pressure and corrosion resistance capabilities.
